Profile
Jimmy Kim is a co-founder and co-CEO of SparkLabs. Prior to this, he served as the CEO of Nexonova—a game development studio within the Nexon Group—and was the head of Nexon Portal (www.nexon.com) and the Web Services division at Nexon, a global gaming company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TYO:3659).
In 2012, Jimmy garnered international attention by successfully selling Studio Ex, a gaming company he co-founded, to Disney. His leadership and vision have been recognized through various awards, including being named one of the “Fintech Asia 100” by Next Money, EY, and Visa in 2016, and in 2020, Business Insider named him one of Asia’s top 10 innovative investors.
Jimmy Kim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree from KAIST. He further enhanced his management expertise by completing the Executive Management Program at Stanford University.
